Programme : Edu - Trip Sarawak
Participants : B.Ed TESL MARJON Cohort 2
Date : 29 March-5 April 2010
Places visited: IPG Tun Abdul Razak, IPG Batu Lintang, S.K Dato' Traoh, S.M.K. Kota Samarahan, Sarawak Pottery, Sarawak Museum, Sarawak Islamic Museum, Sarawak Cultural Village, Kuching Waterfront, Cat Museum, Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, and Jong Crocodile Farm.
This project involved 27 students and two accompanied lecturers from Language Department. The delegation was lead by Marjon 2's tutor, Miss Yusmiza Hanim Bt Yusuf. It was postponed several times due to problems that had cropped up such as transportation and financial problems. However, it finally succeeded because of continuous effort and prayer from all parties.
Unfortunately, the problems did not stop there. On the departure day, more than half of the participants suffered from heavy fever and cough. Luckily the precaution step that had been taken earlier which was to prepare emergency cash helped a lot. Other than the R & Rs, the other pit stops were the clinic and Bentong Hospital.
Here are some bits of the visits.
